I have multiple vehicles with the classic homemade zip tie wire separators and have not seen one fail, including relatively near headers .

This is pretty counterproductive to the whole “keep the plug wires from arcing to eachother ” goal of wire separators.

One could argue that most of my advice is counterproductive. Regardless of the topic being discussed. Let’s face it though... normally I wouldn’t use any zip ties of any sort in this application.
